Spencer didn't come because he was sick & because of the whole allergic reaction last time. He had a good time with Daddy though.

Uncle Billy had caught a baby chick for the girls to see. Bella was kind of excited.

Lynden loved the baby chick. He wound up giving it a kiss.

Fourth of July

We had a cook-out at Moms on the fourth of July. We had dinner & all the kids got to swim (and me). Anyway, I love family get functions. Everyone seemed to have a great time. Spencer was in the pool for almost 3 straight hours.

Spencer is such a little fish & good at it, too!

Lynden & Devin

Lynden could not leave the animals alone. He gets so excited when he sees them. He is usually really soft & giddy. It is so cute. I love this picture.

Later that night, Papa & Nana came over & all the boys went to get fireworks. Spencer had been wanting to get some ever since the tents went up. He would say, "Hey, lets get some fireworks!" every time we seen one. It was so cute. He was so excited about them. Lynden of course wanted to do everything Spencer did. They both really enjoyed the sparklers. At one time Lynden kept trying to touch Papa with his. What a Little Racsal!

My handsome honey!

Crazy Camping!!!

We went camping on Thursday & Friday last week at the Shady Oaks Campground. It was very eventful. The boys had a blast. We got there about 5 that evening & had to immediately go swimming. They had waited all day, plus they saw the pool as soon as we got there. There was a great big slide to slide into the pool, you will see! Spencer love love loved it! You could go down on your bottom or your tummy, he did both dozens of times while we were there. When we were done swimming that first time I took the kids to play on the playground while Michael set up the tent. When we were done playing we headed toward the campsite. When Spencer seen the tent & Michael he got so excited he started running. As he was running across the driveway he lost his footing & totally wiped out, scrapping his chest & face on the asphalt. It was so sad. He tried not to cry but then just lost it. I was carrying Lynden on one hip but managed to scoop Spencer up on the other. I don't know how but I did. I was worried about him but thankfully it didn't seem to slow him down any. Anyway, we ate & then swam some more. The boys were so wired they didn't go to sleep until about midnight. Spencer kept saying that he wanted to go swimming but once the pool closed we told that he could go in the morning but he needed to go to bed first. As it turned out, Lynden woke up for the day & cranky as all get out I might add at 4:30 Friday morning & Spencer at 5:00. The first thing Spencer said was "lets go swimming". It never crossed our minds that we (especially Spencer) would be up 5 hours before the pool opened. We decided to take him over to Moms to swim for a couple hours. We got there before 6:30. Lynden of course fell asleep & took a nap from 8:15-10:15. We tried to cat nap at Moms & thought Spencer might too but all failed. We went back to the camp & swam & ate & played all day. It was so nice. There is nothing that makes me happier than to see the boys having fun & loving life as little boys. We blew bubbles & snacked & also watched movies. Our site had electricity & we brought our portable DVD player, that came in really handy. Nana & Papa stopped by to visit that afternoon & brought Spencer a snorkel set. He loved it, you will see from the pictures. Lynden wound up taking another nap (about an hour & a half). Spencer might have taken a 45 minute nap, not much considering he had only gotten about 5 hrs of sleep the night before & swam for hours. Oddly enough, they both managed to stay up late went to sleep after 11 that night. We went to bed around midnight. We were excited to get a decent nights sleep thinking that they might sleep pretty good due to sheer exhaustion. Well, it started raining around 4 am. Then it started pouring & the thunder & lightening were so loud (there was only a 30% chance of rain for that night, no storms). Anyway, we wound up having to get the kids in the van because our tent was swaying. They were so tired they barley woke up during the transition. We got a little nervous having to boys out there & decided to go to Moms. We got there about 6:00 Sat. morning & slept from about 6:15 to 8:15. I wound up staying at Moms with the boys while Michael went & broke down camp in the pouring rain. Poor guy, when he got there our tent was practically floating. But all in all, we had a great time as a family, especially the boys. Enjoy the pictures, they are not in order.

Lynden did not want anything to do with the roasting of the marshmallows. He just wanted to eat it.

Busy Week

We have been so busy the last week. We went camping Thursday and Friday night. We spent the rest of the weekend cleaning up & putting things away from camping. We have been up until at least 3 am the last 3 nights. Sunday was cleaning, Monday was because Michael built & put shelves in our emergency room in the basement and last night he took apart the shelves in the kitchen pantry & made them half as deep with twice as many shelves. I love them. Anyway, before we left on Thursday, we watched Devin for a couple hours. The boys all played on the slip & slide. I will post the camping pictures next as it will take me a while to get that post ready, (I took about 80 pictures, not kidding).
