Grandma Elsie's 70th Birthday!

Grandma's birthday was May 31th, but we celebrated on Saturday May 24th (1-4). It was a great day. Grandma is by far one of the strongest women I know. You give her some impossible odds & she will beat them. I love Grandma & Grandpa so much. Many of my childhood memories are wrapped up in them. Grandpa still calls Grandma Babe mostly, but also, Baby doll, Sugar & Sweetie pie. It is precious. They are still so in love after 53 years of marriage. The weather was nice that day & it was great to be able to see all my cousins & aunts & uncles at the same time. Grandma got sleepy around 2 & had to lay down so I didn't get as many pictures of her as I would have liked, but I know how beautiful she is without a ton of pictures.

Mom gave Grandma a single rose representing her (Grandma).

Then she gave her a big bouquet of different kinds of flowers representing Grandma's children & grandchildren. I thought it was such an neat idea.

Amy, Dylan (hiding from the camera - like he did all day) Lisa, Dalton, Bub, Aunt Marg & BJ

Tina, Lisa, Bella, Amy, Me, Kristy, Lena, Karla & Heather

Growing up we were always the closest to Tina, Kristy, Karla & Bub (when we weren't beating him up) because they lived right next to Grandma & Grandpa & we were all close in age. Heather is 10 years younger than me. Lena is Bub's wife.

Lisa made Grandma her birthday cake. She made Spencer his own special milk free cake. She is so sweet.

Classic Devin, striking a pose!

Olivia & Shane

Spencer had allergic reaction to something in the house. It was mostly his face. It was bright red & swollen with blisters & bruises forming. I was freaking out. The same thing has happened to Dalton twice in the past. He is not even allowed in the house anymore. In case he went in Amy had already given him some benadryl & brought it with her (what a mom). Once Spencer got that in him it almost completely went away pretty fast. Thank goodness cause I was about to haul him to the ER.

Mom & Gary (so cute & sweet)!

Grandpa is almost 76 and as feisty as ever. He loves to aggravate but would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He is great, I love him!

Lynden hung out on Uncle Darin's lap for a long time talking on his cell phone. All the kids love Darin.

This picture had nothing to do with Grandma's Birthday party, I just thought it was cute & wanted to post it. What a poser!
