The Welk Resort

Last Wednesday we spent the night at the Welk Resort in Branson. I paid $59 for it on Bids for Bargains. I was so excited. They have this huge new indoor/outdoor water park with a 107 foot water slide. Lynden was too small but Michael and I took turns taking Spencer on it. It was so fun. Even though we couldn't check in until 4, we still had access to the water park from the time it opened (at 10 am) on the day of check in until close (10 pm) on the day we checked out. So we had plenty of time to spend getting wet. It was awesome and the kids loved as you can tell from the pictures.

I think the water shooting out of the floor was Lynden's favorite part. He kept running through them all right in a row. They were all over. He also loved "sitting" on the stream. I never got a picture but it was really cute! It is hard to get good close up of him looking at me because he is too impatient. Where is the fun in staying still for longer than 1.5 seconds! Come on!

Spencer loved the giant water bucket. He would stand there and watch it fill up and then as it dumped on him, he would fall down on purpose. He is so dramatic. He probably did this 25 times.

Fourth of July

We let off or watched fireworks several times this year. On the actual 4th, Brandy and her kids came over and Bill and Judy came over for a while, too. We enjoyed watched the kids. They all loved it as much as any kid would.

Spencer's favorite thing by far were the snakes. Lynden's was the sparklers although I didn't get any pictures of him with one. I am really slipping on my picture taking...I think it has something to do with me being so far behind on my scrapbooking. Less pictures, less I am behind. That was my subconscience talking.

My special girl

My grandmother passed away on June 6th. I have been meaning to post a little something about her but have only updated my blog once since she passed. So, as you can see she is a beautiful ray of light. She was loved by everyone. No one left her house ever without a kiss from her. That is one of the many things I love about her. I had the opportunity to spend quiet a bit of time with her in her last week with us. For that I am forever grateful. I know I will see her again and look forward to it very much. Many of my childhood memories are tied to these two people. They were together for 55 years and I have never seen a couple like them, even in the movies. They are a great example of love to me. They always said the sweetest things to each other no matter who was around. It is a pleasure to be their grand daughter. I love both of my grandparents very much!
